Founders Story

It Didn’t Start With a Vision. I Just Found One in The Breakroom. And it changed how we see workplace culture forever.

I never said, “I want to be a vending guy when I grow up.” Until I became one, in my 30s. I was chasing a real estate dream and took a vending route job to pay the bills. But somewhere between stocking machines and rolling up warehouse doors, I started to see something most people overlooked. In every building, the breakroom was the one space designed just for employees. Not for clients. Not for compliance. Just for them. And yet, it was often the least intentional space in the building.

I’d have conversations with CEOs, warehouse staff, trainees, and managers, all in the same breakroom. That’s when it clicked. This room could be more than a convenience. It could be a connector. A place that makes people feel seen, valued, and part of something bigger.

I founded Oasis to help companies rethink how the breakroom could serve their people, not just feed them. And 23 years after walking into those first breakrooms, that mission still drives everything we do.
